[About Ginsan Steel (Ginsanko)]
Ginsan (Ginsanko / Silver #3) is a premium Japanese stainless steel often chosen for a carbon-steel like” sharpening feel with far less worry about rust. Its relatively pure composition centered on iron, carbon, and chromium helps produce a fine grain and a crisp, refined edge. Many makers describe it as a stainless counterpart to White steel: sharp, easy to maintain, and friendly on sharpening stones for consistent upkeep.
[About SETUKI]
SETUKI (切喜, “Joy of Cutting”) is Chef Partners’ in-house brand. We source blades from skilled Japanese craftsmen and complete the final sharpening and finish through our dedicated polishing partners, then engrave the SETUKI mark and ship worldwide. Makers may vary by steel, but our focus stays the same: consistent geometry, clean fit-and-finish, and real cutting performance without inflated brand premiums.
[Notes after Purchasing a Saya (Sheath)]
1. Avoid long-term storage inside the saya
Even if the blade is completely dry, keeping it sealed inside the saya for a long time can trap moisture and cause rust. For long-term storage, please remove the knife from the saya.
2. Be careful not to scratch the blade when inserting it
To help minimize scratches, the opening on the inside of our saya is finished with a velvet lining.
However, scratches may still occur due to careless insertion or removal, so please keep this in mind when purchasing.
As this is considered a matter of normal use and handling, we may not be able to repair or compensate for scratches that occur during use.
